No grapes or nuts, but 100% delicious compact nutrition

Grape-Nuts are one of the oldest ready-to-eat packaged cereals still on the market today. Introduced in 1898, Grape-Nuts followed the initial breakfast cereal (Granula) by a few decades, but stuck around much longer. They pre-date Kellogg’s Corn Flakes by closely a decade. Like Kellogg’s early cereals, Grape-Nuts were initially marketed as a natural health food. Made from wheat and barley, without added sugar, they still pack a outstanding deal of nutrition into a compact space. Each half-cup serving of Grape-Nuts holds 33 grams of whole grain, 48 grams of carbohydrates, 6 grams of protein and 7 grams of dietary fiber. I ate 2 cups of Grape-nuts today

I ate 2 cups of Grape-nuts this morning, on a bet that i couldnt, while wearing a St. Patricks day hat and bogus beard. My stretch goal was 10 minutes, altho it took better than 20, and i was sabotaged by Dave who added more when i went to get water. Realizing after the fact that this galore Grape-nuts was representative of with regards to 120% of my each and everyday fiber and 360% Iron, not to mention 800 net calories or so pre-milk, i became somewhat worried and have been slugging down water ever since. I have not eaten Grape-nuts in a while, and ought to say, in spite of the extreme circumstances, i actually enjoyed them, and will eat them again tomorrow assuming im hungry then. They were tasty, somewhat sweet, and not in need of any additives to enjoy. Highly recommended.

I’ll commend Grape-Nuts whole-heartedly to anybody who needs a high fiber punch in a low-volume solution. This cereal is dense and probably ought to not be consumed in huge volumes at a sitting. There is a LOT of fiber and iron in it. Other than that, it would be the perfective breakfast cereal. Unlike other high-fiber solutions, Grape-Nuts is versatile. You may eat it cold with milk or heat it up in the microwave with said milk and take delight in a tastier substitute to oatmeal. You may sprinkle it on yogurt for a texture explosion in your mouth. I’ve even made bran muffins with them, and they are delicious.

1 instant pudding/small package

1/4 c oil

3/4 c bisquick

Combine all ingredients. Roll into balls and place on cookie sheet.

1 lb cheddar cheese

1 lb breakfast sausage

3 c bisquick mix

Combine sausage, bisquick and grated cheese and mix very well. Form into 1 to 2 inch size balls. Place on un greased baking sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. May be made in front and frozen.

>> Bisquick Butterscotch Brownies

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

1 box brown sugar

1 may coconut

1 stick butter- room temperature

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups bisquick® baking mix

4 huge eggs

Mix all ingredients and bake in 9×13 baking pan. Bake on preheated 350f oven for 45 minutes. Cool on rack, cut while warm.

>> Strawberry Shortcake (Bisquick)

2 Pt strawberries — sliced

2/3 c sugar

2 1/3 c bisquick

3 tb sugar

3 tb margarine or butter — melted

1/2 c milk

3/4 c whipping (heavy) cream

Sprinkle strawberries with 2/3 c. Sugar; let stand 1

hr.

Preheat oven to 425 f.

Mix bisquick, 3 tb. Sugar, margarine and milk until

soft dough forms. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls into

6 mounds on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with

sugar. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

Beat whipping cream in chilled bowl until stiff.

Split shortcakes; spoon strawberries amidst halves

and over tops. Top with whipped cream.

High altitude: heat oven to 450 f. Decrease the 3 tb.

Sugar in shortcakes to 1 tb.

great gluten free dairy free option to make a large total of yummy food!

We LOVE the new gluten free Bisquick! I employed to for cheddar biscuits largely until we found out that we had a milk protein intolerance. Now, we are using this to make so a lot of more recipes because it is dairy free and from what I may tell allergen free. The only thing I would like better (General Mills-if you are listening-I know I am not the only one that wants this) is if it came in bulk packaging. Just put the GF Bisquick in a more prominent box like the regular Bisquick and then trade in a 3 or 6 pack. Just mark that this review was helpful if you agree and perchance GM will listen! LOVE THIS-ORDER NOW!!

Changed for the WORSE

These applied to be my favored allergy friendly snack that I did not have to make myself. The flavor was great and most importantly, it had TEXTURE (which as any individual with allergies to most textured foods like nuts and grains knows is exceedingly desirable and important.) But they have changed them for the worse! Oh they are so horrid that I am having disturb expressing it so here’s a copy of the email that I sent to the folks at Enjoy Life Foods:

“You have ruined Chaco Loco snacks. They are now disgusting! They used to be the only allergy friendly snack that I’d found that had real flavor and most significantly TEXTURE. Now they taste bitter, slimy, gewy and are totally absent of texture. They stick to my teeth, are difficult to chew and swallow–gross! I tossed the bar into the trash after taking only one bite. Oh, and I noticed that you made them substantially littler which in this case is a good thing because I can’t imagine any person choking their way through the entire bar anyway. I’m not sure who authorized this farce, I mean product change, and wonder if they genuinely tasted they product prior to forcing it out onto unwitting buyers like me. I thought that I’d in the end found something delicious that I did not have to bake myself that would always be authenti and available for my family but I was wrong. Choco Loco’s now taste like most other allergy friendly snacks on the market today–Terrible. I am so unhappy that this product was changed and am returning them to the vendor ASAP.”

Trust me on this one people, do not waste your money.

These bars are too costly for how tiny they are.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R23MP0JX7VQYJJ Since I can’t attach a photo to my review, I decisive to take a video of my 8 year old son opening one of these bars so you may see basi hand how little they are in comparison to a little boy’s hands.

I purchased these for my son who has celiac disease. We were fantastically disappointed on the packaging and size of these bars. Based on the size of the box and the picture on the front, we expected full size bars – not a tiny gummy square. Most of the packaging is air.

My son does like the taste of these however. The packaging just seems misleading and they seem to be way too costly for what they are.

Absolutely ridiculous

I posted a pic at the top of this page… the actual bar looks NOTHING like the picture on the box. It’s a bizarre nub of a bar – I in truth LAUGHED when I shook it out of the package, it was so ridiculously small. As for the taste… it’s chocolatey, not altogether unpleasant…but DRY…like the Sahara desert dry…like there’s not sufficient milk in the world to wash it down dry…like I’d tell you how arid it is but my mouth is too gummy and I may be attempting to swallow it until 2099 so I can’t talk. If you have allergies and can’t have gluten (like me) you’d be better off eating a piece of chalk and a spoonful of cocoa than this. Skip it.

Cookies have been around for galore centuries. There are a good deal of dissimilar versions from the early days of baking. Some were more of a hard flat bread, which in the long run turned into more of a pastry type of bread or cookie. Then it became more of a light to fluffy biscuit, and then into the littler bite size bar like a Madeline, and or a type of drop cookie that we are intimate with today. Some of their attempts were savory, and a great deal of turned out to be sweet creations. I credit the Germans and the French for getting us to the sweeter side of things that have developed into the sweet cookies of our day.

In the current day we have bar cookies, drop cookies, refrigerated cookies, rolled cookies, and a few more. I think that the most general are the drop cookies. The drop cookie was made very frequent from the Tollhouse Company, by the development of the chocolate chip cookie. The Quaker Company has also helped in this crusade to invent a rolled oats cookie. They are both a very general treat with galore persons all over the country.

I have developed an oatmeal cookie recipe that I hope that you will enjoy. This is a recipe for an oatmeal carrot cookie. It is a little more salubrious treat than most sweet desserts, and it tastes great if you are an oatmeal cookie fan. This is an easy recipe, and does not take too much time, and it would be fun to prepare with your children.

Ingredients you will need:

1 1/4 Cup of grated carrots

1 Cup of whole wheat flour

1/2 Cup of Raisins

1/2 Cup of I can’t believe it is not butter

1/2 Cup of packed brown sugar

1/2 Cup of quick oats

2 Eggs medium size

1/2 Teaspoon of cinnamon and a good vanilla bean paste

1/4 Teaspoon of nutmeg

1/4 Cup of warm water

1 Teaspoon of baking powder

1 Tablespoon of confectioners sugar

Non Stick Spray

First you will preheat your oven to 350 if it is electric and in regards to 325F if it is gas. If you have convection fan turn it off for the duration of the baking. It will cause too much browning, and more than likely burn these cookies. You will want to go in front a spray your baking pan, so you are ready to go directly into the pan after mixing all of the ingredients. I commend a square or rectangular pan for these cookies.

Pour into non stick pan or sprayed pan and bake for regarding 20 to 25 minutes. You will turn with regards to halfway through the baking procedure in the oven to ascertain even baking. dense, moist snack bar

These are very dense, moist snack bars; could even be a meal substitute if you’re up for something smallish. There’s actually 5 flavors of these, but I believe only this one (Banana Walnut) and the Chocolate Chip one are available right now (and I can’t commend the Chocolate Chip one, it does not taste good to me). I look forward to attempting the Brownie and Peanut Butter versions, as well as the Cranberry one. But these are excellent.
Each bar holds 5g fiber, 12g whole grain, and 6g of protein. More data on this product and their other things at [...]. I only just heard of this company the other week when a relative gave me one of their bars, but their merchandise look great (if a bit pricey; but high-quality costs more).
Update: these are all made much better by warming them up: remove from package, and heat them for 10-15 seconds in the microwave. Makes them smoother and softer, like soft cookies just out of the oven.

Perfect for travel

[Corazonas Banana Walnut Oatmeal Squares -- reviewed a few weeks after buying them.]

For years I’ve carried food-bars to eat when my blood sugar gets low, and for years I’ve had to deal with two kinds of bars: the kind that are gooey with frosting or with chocolate chips that have melted in the heat; or the kind which are crunchy and crumbly. In either case I’d have a mess on my fingers, or on my shirt, or on the furniture.

These oatmeal squares are neither gooey or crumbly. Instead they have a soft firm texture that’s just what I want for travel. (I can’t say the same for the CORAZONAS Oatmeal Squares, Chocolate Chip, 1.76-Ounce bags (pack of 12), since the chocolate chips may get messy.) They’re likewise the right size to slip into a pocket.

As for taste, they’re pleasant, but they seem a bit bland to me, perhaps because they’re low sodium. However, taste is not my main concern when I want “fuel” to fetch my blood sugar back up.

Luscious Lemon Cake Mix

This is my bestloved of the Dassant mixes (and they are all finelooking terrific). Made as instructed, it is a quick and easy mix that makes a cake with a ‘homemade’ taste. It is also fun to experiment and make other baked goods with this mix such as cookies and bars. For bars: Stir together the mix, 1 egg, 1 stick of melted butter and 3/4 C finely ground nuts (if it seems very dry, mix in 2 Tbls. water or orange juice). Press into a prepared 8 x 8 pan and bake at 325 for in regards to 1/2 hour. (Check at 25 minutes – use toothpick test.) Let cool totally before cutting into bars. They are fabulous!

This mix develops a very moist, tender lemon cake with a nice crust. I baked it in a 2 qt. round Le Creuset & it took 55 min. & made a very pretty, tasty little cake. I wanted to undertake the mix just as it is firstborn time baking it; since I am a lemon lover next time I will add a dash of lemon extract. Yum… at long last I may eat my bestloved flavor of PopTarts!

It is inconceivable to buy unfrosted blueberry Pop Tarts in Austin, TX. I recognise this because Kellogg’s Web website fundamentally told me so! Therefore, because I didn’t want to drive three hours to Dallas to get my favored quick breakfast fix, I decisive to buy a case of my bestloved Pop Tarts.

The Pop Tarts arrived speedily and undamaged. I’m not on my fourth box and none of the pastries have been broken… and all taste great! Plus, the price was comparable to what I would remunerate in the grocery store anyway. I feel like I have found a great deal, and I plan to order another case within the next few months.

Wonderful to see an primary favorite!

These are my favored of the Pop-Tart line ever since I may remember! I can’t find them in the supermarket anywhere, and I have looked, and even searched the Internet for them. I found them on Amazon and was very happy to see them indeed! I guess that today every one is pushed by their kids to get the frosted ones. Don’t get me wrong, the frosted ones are fine, but I prefer the unfrosted. Very hard to find nowadays! The product was delivered fast, and they are fresh and delicious! Thanks to Amazon for outstanding service, and to Kellogg’s for still making them!!! Any prospect of coming back with strawberry, cherry, and apricot flavored in unfrosted too??? Perhaps an ad venture noting the lower sugar content (and therefor a bit healtier) substitute while still being delicious!

UNFROSTED is just … BETTER!!

I, too, have had disturb finding these here in Arizona … altho the Kelloggs web site lists three dissimilar Walmarts, I don’t believe any of them carry the unfrosted Blueberry …

Maybe I’ve just outgrown that surgary phase at 56 … but I in truth can’t stand the frosting on these things…
